How do Search Engines Work?

Search Engine Optimization
All most all the Search Engines have two crucial functions, one is crawling and the second is indexing by which provide answers through calculating the relevancy and importance of the search. When an individual inputs a keyword into the search engine according to his or her needs, gets the result.

The search engine first crawl the content from million of websites and blogs, based on the keyword given by the person and at the same time index the site or blog to show on the search engine result page in accordance with the site’s rank. Once the search engine recognizes the page or pages the person desired to get, the search engine then decode the code from them and store it into some selected pieces in a massive hard disks, to be remembered later when needed for any search query. To acknowledge this enormous task of holding billions of pages which can be retrieved within a fraction of second, because the search engines have built data centers throughout the world. These hideous storage facilities of information hold thousands of electronic devices performing a large number of information.

More easily we can say that a Search Engine is nothing but an answering machine. When an individual input a keyword to search an information the search engine find and recognize and shows the result on the result page with the help of crawler, the process is done within in a second or two, because no one will wait longer to see a result, so a search engine works hard to find the information in a minimum time. The search engine shows a search result which is relevant to the searcher’s query and the rank of those result pages of page of the perceived usefulness as well as utility.

So, here it is clear that “Relevance” and “Importance” are the two influential term in SEO. To a Search Engine “Relevance” meaning more than easily searching a page with the right keywords. And on the other hand a Search Engine “Importance” meaning the popularity of a website or blog, or a web page or a blog page or post, the more valuable the content rich in useful and important information the more popularity of the webpage is. Because all the giant search engines are practicing these techniques very successfully. They first look the users’ satisfaction by using metrics that generally interpret popularity. The popularity of a website of blog is determined with the help of certain mathematical equations and algorithms.
